The car lost its original engine at some point and an engine was built up to broadly S spec for it while still in the US. The surprise is that the cases are really nice date stamped 1965 cases which are very sought after given the interest in 2.0 Cup and for 65 FIA race cars. Worth a tidy sum on their own as they not easy to find.
Nice bonus, as you say. Would be fun to find some 2.7 cases and build a noisy little screamer then flog the early ones.

Nuts that this car was bought for £65k while folk are expecting £125k for a 912.

993 RS

https://collectingcars.com/for-sale/199 ... 1#comments

Its certainly looking like it will be very much cheaper than the RS from the Leonard collection, even though its not yellow it is still a pretty looking car and on my bucket list (and will probably stay there!). I have seen a couple of Japanese 993RS's and they are usually pretty good even if the service history is unintelligible. I am quite brave but even if it is cheap I would be brave enough to bid on something unseen!

Whats the duty to bring it into the UK?

Cheers

I think they're quite a well renowned dealer, I've read a few articles about them on Petrolicious
