blue plug leads and black shroud, must be the work of Supertec, beautiful.
Love the yellow jump starter in the first pic, surely you have to put it in the car before you crank it up!
cheers, Mike.

Were hydraulic tensioners available in 1974 ? (if not .... as I guess is the case ..... they should not be fitted to these engines for them to be "legal")
I like the look of the manifolds !

I suppose in theory that 3.0 litre SC engines weren't available 'in period' and are different crankcases to the 3.0 Carrera RS as is the crankshaft.
Also PMO carbs weren't available in '74.
We have checked the engine spec with our scrutineers and as these mods have been previously used by others we were given an OK.
Most of the 2 litre engines being used have things like Turbo oil pumps fitted and some even have Nikasil barrels, forged pistons and other goodies.
Most of the BDA's being run use new blocks and heads being cast by KAD and all of the engines being run with 'Holbay' are Warriors, which have significantly different head castings to the original homologated Holbay and didn't appear until significantly later than 1974.
If you look at any competitive Historic car you will find tweeks such as S 300M half shafts and the like.
The 240Z's tend to use 280 Z CV joints as the standard UJ's fail for a pastime.
Lotus Cortina's use Bilstein front shockers, 701M blocks, Mexico gear sticks etc, etc.
