No, it's the AC Factory's one-off attempt to 'outdo' the Shelby Daytona coupes - known as 'A98' (its chassis number).

Image

It had a tyre blow-out at Maison Blanche during the '64 Le Mans race & was destroyed.

The wreck was bought from the Factory in 1972 & 'resurrected' over a 12 year period ...

It’s Vaumol and my son’s business. He gets some amazing cars to do because kits are available for most moderns, they don’t need bespoke unless it’s exotica and some hot rods etc.

I think I’m right in saying that the Real Hide company bought the remnants of Connolleys and the the rights to manufacture, so are making Vaumol as it always was. It’s certainly much better and more expensive than alternative and still 1.7mm thick.

I used it on my E Type...as that’s what Jaguar used back in the day..lovely stuff.....damn expensive, but smells great...not the same as in the 60’s as the curing and colour dying process are not acceptable any more...but it’s lovely ....so who cares.... :)
