911 or 914 rear wheel bearings

Post by KS »

Part number 999 053 035 00

Design 911 took the order and then tell me they’re on back order. So does anyone have a pair of rear wheel bearings for a LWB or G-series 911 - they’re also used on 914s...

Cheers.

I'm sure Oak Tree would have them. :)

All sorted, thanks. One thing I've learnt from this is that plenty of companies 'say' they have them in stock, but when you ask it turns out they're not actually 'in stock' but on back order from Europe...or have to be drop-shipped.

All credit to companies like VW Heritage who actually state on their website that parts are on backorder, rather than taking your money and then telling you the truth a day or two later when you wonder what's happened to your order.

In 914 circles one of the worst is Automobile Atlanta. They'll take payment for large items - bumpers for example - and then fail to ship them. There is no follow up from them either so you have to remember to keep chasing them. And we end up paying for shipping twice. Complaints are completely ignored.

Off the top of my head the Quinton hazell part number is qwb213 - the ones I’ve bought are SKF bearings - currently £12.99 on Amazon, delivered from Motorworld. Probably best to check part number as I don’t have bearings at home to check

Vendor's perspective: Our webshop shows true stock levels too. Then, you get a phone call from a potential customer who says that another vendor has stock of your product for 10% off. It turns out that vendor is listing your products without your permission and don't have any physical stock but expect wholesale discount if they sell one. Nuts.

Thanks but as stated earlier, all sorted now. That is cheap, though!
