Just changed all the fuel lines in the Alfa and use Millers VSPE

Bought a 50 second one of these...not sure it would do the job if it was a major fire but could nip one in the bud if I was quick and I like the ease of use:

Done that got the t-shirt. My first thought was the guy sitting in the drivers seat, the second was my house, as the car was still in the garage! Can laugh at it now but not a nice thing to happen. Hope it all works out.

I run the Millers VDP in all 3 70s Porsches.
Does it work ?
Don't know.
Just makes me feel better - especially as only 95 fuel available in ROI!!!

I've fitted blaze cut in all my 911's esp after restoration and the chance of a leaking fuel line or carb. IMO worth investing in, doesn't need a power supply and can be cable tie fitted. check it out. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jr9SBQ_wQZA

Very neat and simple Robin and relatively cheap protection- did you fit 2 or 3m version?

I think I fitted a 2m to the 67S. 5 mins to fit and potentially a car saver..... I think the 3m might be too long to fit inside a 911/912 engine bay. Once I get a 1000miles or so on the car I was going to remove it i.e. once happy there are no issues or potential leaks, but i've got used to seeing it in the engine bay so most likely leave it now.

Has to be above the source of potential fire so cable tied to the left engine lid support the across the rear over the fuel lines then over the right carb bank then over the left ones. Cable tied most to the engine lid grille - all far to easy. Will sent you a pic to your phone..
