I owned this about 10 years ago and have loads of happy memories of trips and tours. Looked way cooler back then with a flat lid, S bumper and no silly stickers.

It’s not what you’d call ‘all original metal’ but if you win it Graham you’ll have a ball.
...who produced those hideous rear bumpers? :sad3:

I remember Russ having one on his Pirelli car and being the butt of countless jokes until he changed it!

It's not my real intention to buy it, but I don't think my T will get done any time soon, so it would fill a gap. With a vin from a targa, what did the shell come from?

Dunno. It’s a while ago but as far as I recall the history is unknown. As the images show, I sold it for £17k , at that time that decent reps were £40k+.

I’d say half there price of a good one is still where it wants to be. If you can get it for £35k it’s a good bit of fun. If it goes beyond £40k you’d probably be better getting something else.

When they were £17k, or the £9k I gave, it didn’t matter much about VINs and fat-bottom-bumpers and jumbo tins of filler. :)

Just seen that “Collecting Cars” will be auctioning “the Leonard Collection” soon
Chris Harris has done a quick walk through on that Instagram.

Dunno what the Leonard Collection is but someone has deep pockets and a lot of Porsches soon to be for sale

Now that’s a thoroughly sensible collection of cars. I wouldn’t have done much differently myself.
