Engine lid grill

Post by rft218 »

Hi All,

I am looking for a 1971 engine lid grill. Has anyone bought one of these?, are they any good?

Thanks

Hello,

Not trying to high jack this post but are there special bolts which hold the grills on for 69 to 73?

Thanks Lee

I bought a repro one from Karmann Konnection. It is a good fit and looks the part, but the black paint on the grill faded in no time (on my list to respray it at some point). The one in your link looks like it comes pre-faded!

The grille on a 70/71 MY car is not black.

I have an original available Roger. Pm me with your email for photos, details and price if you are interested.

Hi,

I believe I have one of those. Did not use it because I found I could save my original one and did that. I can dig it out in the loft and check if you are interested.

Hi All,

Thanks for the replies, I have decided to order a repro one from Karman Konnection, I hope it will be as good as he says it is!

Cheers

Thanks Mike,

I just removed 'respray the grill back to black' from my list of jobs.
