Tank Protection plates

Has anyone fitted one of the tank protection plates from Rosepassion to their car with a plastic 80lt tank fitted ?

I'm assuming this is a bolt on plate that dopesnt require any body mods.

Any other options for tank skid plates that dont need teh body top be drilled ?


I like this one , but pretty sure you need to drill the front tank support

I need a skid plate rather than protection plate so thin grade alloy is fine

the original style fitted in period requires some holes to be drilled to mount them ... not a problem but ideally I want a bolt on design. I've asked the question to rose passion to confirm wether theirs clesrs an 80 lt tank & that its bolt on so will see what they say

Hopefully above pic works. I had a shield made for my 100ltr plastic tank. Attaches to front torsion bar mounts and crossmember only. Its only 3mm ally so not for bouncing over a forest track but works well and strong enough to provide a bit of scuff protection over country lanes.

Was made by a local motorsport fabricator.

We did a bulk buy over on impact bumpers - again I think it was 3mm ally - I’ve fitted one to mine.

You might find someone on there who never fitted theirs

Don’t know if you’d need to change anything for the earlier cars

Think the issue will be how low an 80lt plastic tank hangs under the car. Be interesting to see pic of the IB ones

Looks good. Would need modding at the front for an early car to clear the tow hook on the tank support but that wouldn’t be difficult. Could be spaced maybe to clear the fuel tank
