Hi All,
Help! Has anyone got a 914-6 indicator switch (not the 911 similar part) or knows of someone suitably skilled to restore the one i have? I think an internal part has failed and it needs disassembling and rebuilding - there are contacts in the USA but UK would be preferable.
thanks
Chris.

Re: 914-6 Indicator Switch or Indicator Restorer
I'm fairly sure that the mechanical components of the switch, the self-cancel & main beam switch parts, are the same as early 911.
The main differences are in the wiring and the connectors to the main loom in particular.
914/6 uses a rectangular multipin plug for all terminals. 911 uses the round multipin plug and 6 to 8 individual spade terminals depending on the model.
Repairs using 911 parts should be possible either by rebuilding the internals or re-wiring a 911 stalk using the 914/6 connector block.
