Front seat belt reel and guides

Post by deano »

Hi chaps can anyone tell me if it looks like I have the correct parts here?

Strangely, when I was test-fitting my rear door/side cards and seat belts, I found that the seat belt webbing was trapped/stuck between the back of the card and the aluminium (reel) bracket. To counter this, I bent the bracket up, as you can see from my picture, to create a gap but now the webbing is rubbing inside the back of the (quite rough) plastic moulding - doh!

Can anyone spot the problem - does this look like the correct aluminium bracket?

I am sure I can fix this with a bit more bracket bending, but it feels like something is wrong....

Thank you !!

It´s wrong, because the bracket is a later one. Like the complete restraint system.

If you need the correct brackets, let me know. I have 2 pairs, 1 pair used, the other NOS.

Thanks for the note Dirk,

I thought my brackets were correct for all F and G model Targa's (coupe and cabrio version is more like P-shape)? Can you please post or send me a picture of the one you think it should be?

All the best, Dean

F Model Targas dont require a bracket at all.
So just remove the g Modell part and fine.
