Thanks for your support guys and particularly any bidders - selling the 72T was a stressful event and frankly someone has secured a real bargain.

Anyway, funds gratefully received to secure my small business in survival mode as Covid (hopefully) unwinds, so fingers crossed I might be buying next year :)

Cheers

Sorry if I have missed the obvious, but was this the car that was at Bob Waton's place about 15/20 years ago, I think known as Bob's favourite car?

.

I seem to remember that Martin gave the car to Bob to sort out the engine shortly after he imported the car from the US - I think it was with Bob for a couple of months.

I remember seeing it down there during that time - fairly sure it was 2008 ...

Yes, about the same as my thoughts. It seemed to be there every time I went down to Bobs.

It is, Bob used to store it for Martin.

I met you Martin when you were collecting it for the weekend and Bob was fettling my 914/6 when I switched to carbs, so I think must have been 2014 or so. Must be a wrench to let it go, but glad it went well and you are pleased with the outcome,

Yup, I used to store the car at Bob Watsons when i lived in Singapore.

Bob told me that she was the best handling early Porsches he had ever driven which from him was certainly a compliment so I will certainly miss her when she moves on to her new owner.....my last drive today :(

Hey Wayne,

Those were the days - I certainly remember your 914/6 - great car 8)

Shame Bob isn't still with us.

Any reason why the front strut brace is being used as a washing line for the carpet - what is that hiding underneath?
