Looks great with those decals. I'd ask the people who put them on about an adhesive.

I'm guessing washing it may have caused the peeling.

P.S If anyone wants a set of decals like that - I have a few in stock

Thanks Bootsy - I'll do that - the decals finish it off beautifully - even the wife thinks so and she was dead against it before I applied them.

Anyway here's some better finished shots:-

Surely we're just a bunch of like minded people on this forum (mainly men) who like to cruise around and meet up in car parks and talk about 'deep rimmed Fuchs' Cruising is just part of that isn't it.

Maybe in a few weeks, I'll certainly be busy in the next few weeks, months, years....... what have I done

Love the end result. I even like the graphics

Without the early engine lid P...O...R...S...C...H...E badge it looked a bit naked at the back. The graphics give it a slight racer edge without being excessive. Nice

I nicknamed it 'Dennis the Menace' - still it just failed its MOT so its time to do the body properly now.

Shes going to be a 73 RSL Chartreuse with black and RSR wheels.

I cant explain how against the chartreuse the wife is!! she wants silver or black, If I did either I would still have to go for the green carrera decals!.

Hi Red964 - I saw your posting on another of the forums and checked out your site/story. I must compliment you on your description of a gearbox working - for the first time I understand the basics of how they work - Sorry to hear you still had problems though

My bodyshop is Hardwick Motors - the owner is Steve Cook, and the phone number is 01623 555512. They do a lot of insurance company work - it was interesting reading your backdate that the early slam panel was a pain for you - for Hardwicks this sort of thing is their bread & butter and they put it in straight away - they had the main problems with the torsion bar covers- but as you've got the 915 box I'm guessing that won't be an issue.

Anyway good luck with the project

That's coming along - I'm guessing that's cream primer and you're not going for a cream car.

Just checked out your thread - really coming on now - looks like you've reached the bottom now and everything you do on the car from now on will be making it look better - that's a good feeling - keep posting the pics!

I was just made aware of this post and read the entire 11 page documentation in one sitting. The final result is outstanding - good job Mark!. Of course my opinion is very biased.
What's next for this beauty? Interior mods? Everything has been so tastefully done I am sure the interior will follow.
