914 seat belts – condition immaterial
Anyone have a pair of retractable belts from a 914 they don't want? Mine need rewebbing, so am after a pair of belts I can send to get done. Condition of the webbing is immaterial, so cuts, dirt, scuff of no consequence.
Let me know what ya got!

I do somewhere Keith.
The retractor mechs are shot, but the belts could be useful to you.
Would take some digging though, so let me know if you have no immediate joy and I’ll look when I find time

Hi Keith,
You might want to consider this one:

Finding good quality original used ones is not easy, most of them squeek like a pig...
Regards, Cees

Thanks but I'm deliberately after old used ones for a reason...veertientien wrote:Hi Keith,

Re: 914 seat belts – condition immaterial
Keith,
I have not found them yet for free and not sure if you want to go that way, it is your safety!
Here some cheap belts with same reels (almost...) as mounted in the 914.

Re: 914 seat belts – condition immaterial
Thanks - don't worry about the safety aspect! I was after some so I could get them rebuilt with new webbing, not to use as is.veertientien wrote:Keith,

Incidentally, the eBay advert you show says that they will not ship to the UK...

Re: 914 seat belts – condition immaterial
Ok, did not notice that but if they want to sell then they probably will ship outside Germany. Just ask, but if you need any assistance let me know. I am surprised there are not many RePa reels available in the UK. I will check if I have something stashed away. RePa reels were handed up to 1974/5, after that one version with the spring (behind the smaller plastic cap) on the left side. Are you after a set handed?
Cheers,
Cees

Keith,
I have one spare left hand 1972 RePa reel, if that would help.
