I had a nice find today which brought back a flood of memories. In 2015 I had to clear my parents house after dad passed away and there was a lot of ‘stuff’ in the attic which, at the time, I threw into my trailer along with all the other chattels. Slowly going through it I eventually came across yet another box (I realise it’s taken a while) today, tied up with some old rope. Thought it might be more old photos or paperwork but when I opened it I got a nice surprise.

Dad must have packed things away carefully long after I left home and put the box up the loft. I have not played with these for more than 50 years. They are well played with obviously. The funny thing is I immediately remembered each one and even the missing door on the back of the Bedford Lorry trailer before I picked it up. I include it on this thread because there is a Porsche in there. There’s are three layers in the box. Made my day.

Regards
Mike

I see one I have too, a formula racer that I wore the tyres off along my bedroom windowsill s many years ago. No in my little collection.

We have kept all my daughter's toys from the early years and the Scalextric set I bought her before she was born (but we knew she was arriving).

So glad we have done this as she does not know the full extent of what has been kept.

Your dad was looking after your future. :cyclops:

That is lovely
Do 16 bungs mean 16 cylinders?
I thought the 917 had only 12 cylinders but maybe it is not a 917
I am just owning up to my ignorance!

In the old Porsche Museum there was one of the 16 Cylinder engines on display with a set of headphones where you could listen to it doing a lap at Weissach.
