Some amazing cars in here. I'm guessing the first speedster is plastic?

This is probably the best 'documentry' type vid I've seen. It's beautifully shot and edited. This resto must have taken twice as long due to having to set the camera up for each stage : )

More importantly for this forum, it's also such a great blueprint for any restoration ... of anything; skilled, methodical, ingenious, patient.

I just love everything about it. Quite obviously so do a lot of other people - 15.5 million views in just over a month. Amazing. The funny thing is, after all that work, taking it out for it's inaugural ride in the snow : )

Watch it! Then watch it again : )

Andy
agree with your opinion on the P4 but an early T 70 in Team Surtees colours runs it a very close second
IMHO

[quote="3ftDeep"]Thank you for sharing that. Anyone wish to guess how many hours that took?

More than 2 hours is my guess :wink:
Joking aside, I bet making / editing the video took many hours too. I also like the fact that there's no annoying background music to mute.

I love the fact that he even restored the old nuts.

I'd be interested if anyone can explain any of the chemical processes he used. I'm guessing the bit with the battery was galvanising?

He mentions this:
Flushing the gas tank; - wonder what the acetone did?
Bluing;
Galvanized;
Copper plating;
Removing rust by electrolysis;
and more

There isn't much room for error at the beginning of that course
