Hi All,
I wonder if someone can help please. i am trying to route the loom from the bonnet area to the fuel pump but I cannot see any appropriate holes!.
I have in the bonnet area a piece of loom that has the connector to the fuel pump - a round connector which is on the same piece of loom as the fuel level sender. This has a grommet about 30mm diameter on the loom but I cant see anywhere to put it through, to get down to the fuel pump. It feels like it needs to get into the area with door that the steering goes through to get down to the fuel pump but I dont seem to have any appropriate holes.
Any help greatly appreciated.
Cheers
Roger

Re: fuel pump loom routing
It runs from the fuse box, along the underside of the ‘shelf’ (above the rear of the fuel tank) & through a hole into the smuggler’s box (the hole with lid that the steering column runs through) (RHD). The hole is above the steering column & you need to contort to see it.

Thanks Peter, that does make sense. I will have another look but I dont remember seeing any holes in that area to get into the smugglers box. Mine is LHD 1971 so I wonder if it is slightly different on the LHD drive cars?
