....although Porsche produce them now a RH small flag mirrors never existed in period although I also think they look better than the round Durant which is why I fitted one to my orange car. [....the closest to a period RH flag mirror came in 1974 when the type below (part number 911.731.017.05) were fitted to Australian and some Asian market 74 Carrera's, strangely the 74 UK Carrera retained the round Durant....
....the mirror swivels and can be fitted both left and right. They were also fitted to the six RHD produced 74 Carrera 3.0RS's, albeit painted black...
....I have thought about replacing my 'modern' small flag mirror to the type above as I managed to source a few although the new ones do look better, they replicate the period LH mirror that was around at the time and only the anoraks know it's not technically correct!
If it's not an historically important car I'd go with the modern RH small flag if that's what you prefer.......you'll also give great joy and satisfaction to those people that are able to point out to you that it's wrong!
