Blutorange 2.4S

Post by Ferry Man »

Take a first look at the superb RHD '72 2.4S of Vic Cohen.
Whilst my 2.4S nears completion Vic has been most helpful in providing info and encouragement.
Obviously he's feeling a little smug as his car is now on the road and looking superb after nearly 18 months.
Sportswagen have done a lot of the work and the paint and panel fit look exemplary. Vic is still finishing the car and I'm confident he'll tell us more but it sure looks nice.
If mine equals this I'll be delighted.

Very grateful to Paul for posting , i am toooooo old to understand these things! Also having problems with Colour ,capable of producing very nice Pink or Guards Red but this is the only accurate colour [someone else did it!] i ve yet had .................things have prgressed from this shot, a little ,like alumnium number plates and there is also a nudge bar protecting Aluminium engine cover [hands off u rogues !] Standard kit Dec '72 ,'73 model, only upgrades lightweight flywheel , running Bilstein gas filled all round and have wrapped up the original front calipers it currently sports 3.2 steel ones ..............been using it daily never realised what fun u cud have on 6 " ................had become corrupted over the last 30 years by more modern kit [ not that painful] as young Moss may testify...............when all done will get it out more to be seen 'cos i am really pleased so far .........if u did nt guess !

The green one is looking forward to meeting the orange one sometime in the not-too-distant future. Vic also refers to his younger cars, one of which I sampled from the passenger seat at Goodwood, a 993 GT2. I understand that is now on its way and has been replaced by something a bid louder?

Blutorange was reputedly, Butzi Porsche's favourite colour for the 911.

It looked good then and looks good now.

And i can remember first time round when Blutorange was not considered a politically correct colour!!!! So having 2 Blutorange 911 s must make me very incorrect !
