Started a job, did a job, finished the job. Unheard of in the annals of 911 maintenance. There's always a snag!

Sorry about the brown shoes.
Mind you I suspect that it'll be the same again in 2 years time. Shite ECP parts from China.

Too wet and horrible to go for a drive, so after a couple of hours on trickle charge I fired up Honey and allow the engine to warm. Just sitting in the car listening to the sound of the engine and of course the smell was wonderful.

Re: What did you do in/on/for your Porsche today?
Bit of a fib as I ceramic coated the car a couple of months ago.
Always been a struggle to keep my flat black 996 looking sharp. Despite washing it very carefully, snow foam, 2 buckets etc. It always ends up with wash scratches. I had a professionally detailed 12 months ago and it was looking worse than ever after a year of washing it. I decided to have a go myself and apply a Ceramic coating hoping it would help prevent wash scratches.
I set too, decontaminated and then 2 stage polished the car. Then applied Carbon Collective Ceramic Coatings. There is also a hydrophobic coating I added on top that prolongs the life of the Ceramic coating. Both were very easy to apply and as long as you didn’t leave the product on for too long easy to buff off.

And after a good few months of use and a track day. The paint seems to be holding up very well. It’s very easy to clean. Almost don’t need much more than snow foam and a rinse off. It’s got a deep gloss and water just drops off it. It seems to be generally wash scratch free. So far very impressed.

Re: What did you do in/on/for your Porsche today?
Dynax-UB'd the wheel arches on the 924 Turbo - great stuff, goes on in a highly convenient rusty colour
Ordered some beer brewing hose (3mm ID / 4.8 OD) to swap out the 60 cm Dynax-S50 application hose for a 100 cm+ version to do inside the sills.
Removed the battery to inspect and clean underneath - OMG ! Cleaned it up and protected it with plenty of ACF-50
