Bit more specialist than that It seems Thomas. He says he’s actively helping UK LHD owners sell to Europe, handling inquiries in different languages, arranging viewings and inspections etc. Seems a good little niche given Left Hookers enjoy higher prices over the channel.Bootsy wrote:Seems to work as a marketer of cars for sale and then takes a 3% cut if he manages to pass on a lead and it sells

"1968 Porsche 912 Title and Vin Plate. All duties have been paid"
So you pay duties on a VIN plate now - be interesting when you try and register something with the same chassis number then??

Re: Porsche for sale of the day..........
Whoever that is with the user name caterham220268 on eBay is clearly a Porsche guy who needs to be strung up by the balls if he thinks it's OK to sell a VIN plate and documents... Hope he's here on DDK so he can be publicly shamed. He lives at Princes Risborough (or at least, that's what eBay gives as his location)Nine One One wrote:https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1968-Porsche ... Be very very careful if you are considering an RS bargain.........
This has a number of questions that need answered even though it has been through the knowledgeable hands of Robert Gant.
I know that the Silverstone auction is popular and there is not long to do some forensic checking before bidding. The engine number, chassis plate and the origins of the shell are all suspect to my eyes.

Re: Porsche for sale of the day..........
I'm happy with a very slight twinge of disappointment. I kind of expected it to just get in the 50s (plus the 6%, being 53 to the buyer). But overall I am delighted to have done a really easy sale process and in short order before the winter really kicks in. Having to sell privately would have been pretty tedious. So all in all pleased. The CC guys and the auction process was all superb.
