What's this connector?

Post by Flat 6 »

Having removed my front loom, the only connector I can't identify is this block that appears to sit in a similar sized hole in the scuttle.

I don't think there was anything connected to it on my car (a 1973 US 2.4 CIS T).

Any thoughts?

Nope. There isn’t one on my ‘72.

I appreciate that’s not very helpful :)

Ask Peter K in Restoration Projects, he is doing a late 70's Targa with more modern electrics to Gary's car (or mine).

Not got anything like that through the body that I can recall. There’s a similar rectangular plug to the air blower and a square one to the fuel tank sender.

Ah, yes, that would make sense - positioned under the dash dials. I'll dig out my switches and have a look. Strange that they've gone for that sort of connector though when all the rest have spades.

Only other alternative that dawned on me this morning would be the under-dash aircon vent panel that my car has.

Thanks all,

Al.
