Malpassi Filter King Fitment

Post by sixpipe98 »

Hi All,
My crappy chrome fuel regulator failed on me today so am planning on fitting the malpassi filter king as recommended on the forum. I'm intrigued to see some pics of how people have mounted theirs. Also could you confirm that the larger 85 mm version is the correct one for a 911.
cheers, Sam

Good move, the chrome jobs are crap.
Good if you can mount the new filter on some 'rubber' flexibility to save too much vibration getting to the fuel bowl.
Definitely do not mount on the engine.

Mine is mounted on the cross member...A piece of right angle is welded to the member, with the filter bracket in turn bolted to it.

Not sure what year your car is but I think post 69 has three holes in the inner wing , forward of the CDI box. They should have blanking plugs fitted. I removed one and attached the bracket that comes with filter. I too put some rubber in between. Fits a treat.
