Ex Status Quo 73 Targa- found service book. Questions

Post by leedurrant73 »

Hello,

Some may remember I was helping a guy sell A 911s some time back.
Apparently he dropped the price for the sale which the new owner agreed too.

Now the previous owner found the service docs after his grand fathers death.

He wants to sell them, what would they be worth?
He’s thinking 5k?

What do you all think?

Don’t shoot the messenger ha.

Thanks Lee

Personal opinion ... hand it over free of charge rather than be a knob

funnily enough I have the service book and original build sheet from a RHD 280SE 3.5 convertible Merc which came in a box of bits bought 20+ years ago - I can't wait to re-unite it with the car one day (which is taxed and MOT'd) - can't quite imagine asking anyone for any money for it - these things belong together!

Yeah, I agree with your comments and will advise the same.
I think because it’s a Porsche some people instantly think you
Should charge for everything.

Thanks

100% give them for free. Looking out for And helping a fellow owner is what makes the Porsche community the incredible thing that it is. I couldn’t imagine charging someone for those. Keep us updated on the outcome :)

I see his point tho. He sold the car cheaper because it had no history. It’ll be worth more with it. But I too would give it to the new owner and bask in the good karma.

Yes that’s right he let the car go cheaper because he couldn’t find the service history.
Dropped 5k off the price and now found it....

Would like to see the history on the car though...
