Re: Some weekend Guitar
Over the decades, my daughter has played for the Birmingham Royal Philharmonic so lots of classic concerts of all shapes and sizes.
The Cello is easily the very best string instrument, particularly with 6 or more.
Great instrument, killer tone.

I love the cello. Bach's 6 piece concerto is my favourite.911hillclimber wrote:Over the decades, my daughter has played for the Birmingham Royal Philharmonic so lots of classic concerts of all shapes and sizes.

Did your daughter study in Birmingham?
A running friend Lyndon is in the London Philharmonic and studied in Birmingham.
Somewhat off topic but very talented

Re: Some weekend Guitar
I guess worth an ask on here: My son is after a 2 x 12 Speaker cab, his ideal would be a closed back Orange, but his budget doesn't really get there.....so Marshall? anything out there? W

Re: Some weekend Guitar
I've asked my guitar mate if he knows of anything. Will let you know if he finds anything.
Here he is playing

In the 2nd video the drummer has a famous brother. Top marks if you can guess. I had no idea and I've meet him a few times.

Check your PM's my mate has got something that he reckons is better than an orange for £150. He knows his kit.Winston Teague wrote:I guess worth an ask on here: My son is after a 2 x 12 Speaker cab, his ideal would be a closed back Orange, but his budget doesn't really get there.....so Marshall? anything out there? Re: Some weekend Guitar
During one our late night social street gettotogethers one of neighbours mentioned someone she flat shared with in early 80s was dating someone in a band. Lead singer and writer. He used to come around their flat but was really shy so sat on the couch not saying anything. However, the other flat mate, to my neighbour's surprise, really liked him and said his band was going to be massive. She wasn't wrong.

Re: Some weekend Guitar
The guitar is such a versatile instrument.
The Joe Pass clips are great, and anyone who can read (or write) that score is on another planet to me in a better orbit.
My daughter can read stuff like that, where did she get that from?
A skill and talent few get rewarded for.
Good start to the weekend!
