Quite a few of these on CC at the moment. I was discussing this with someone recently and it seems like a peculiar place to sell a classic where the ability to due diligence the car is not available. Great if you land a bargain (the achieve prices seem to be about 5-10% below market) in good condition but seat of your pants stuff and where do you go if you end up with a lemon?

That RS must be the most expensive car that's ever been on the site.

You can go and see the car before buying. The RS was at Tuthills for the last couple of weeks so it could be inspected.

They seem to be achieving strong prices for a number of cars.
The force is strong in this one ......

Looked quite a good price to me. Didn't see want the 2.4s bid to, but don't think it met reserve. The 3.2 looked a lowish price.

It's great fun watching!

The weird thing is the RS could have been bought for much less from the dealer ...... but someone chose to pay more at the auction!

In the bad old days brokers in the financial mark would create bids or offers to move the price towards their client. Or report a price trading and hope others would join in. The only way to catch them out was to trade on the price. Of course very much banded these days.

I like the idea of this for that round-Britain trip I’ll definitely do one day:

Lots of torque, air con and Fuhrmann seats. Lovely.

Quite agree. Might even forgive the beige interior. Are Fuhrmann seats comfy?

I’ve not even seen one IRL, never mind sat in one. They’re supposedly orthopaedic so I’m imagining all sorts of comfy loveliness.

I'm of the view that whitewalls don't suit any car but 100% should never be fitted on a Porsche!

1972 914/6 GT replica - 2.7 - signal orange.
