Remove horn

Post by neilbardsley »

I'm being stupid and can't remove my horn to get it the right way up?

I think you have to separate the outer from boss but I can't do it??ImageImage

Neil - the first thing I'd try if you haven't already is:

- press the horn push in at either side (red arrows) &, at the same time, try to rotate the horn push.

It won't rotate easily but applying reasonable force it should rotate.

Is this a Moto Lita hub/boss ?

If that doesn't work try prying the horn push surround away from the hub by inserting a thin knife (eg butter knife) & levering - gently ! - at several points round the circumference (yellow arrow)

I couldn't twist the horn button so I need to find something to pry the thing apart without damaging it.

Why can't you just attach it to the wheel the other way up or turn the wheel round?
