912 exhaust tail pipe trim
Anyone got a spare stainless steel trim that fits to the end of the tail pipe on a 912 (911 version may be the same?)
I’m just about to replace my whole exhaust system, was hoping to reuse my old trim but is proving to be a bit of a bugger to get off the old tail pipe!

Yep, I thought that one would do the job, unfortunately when I spoke to design 911 and asked them to offer one up to a tail pipe to ensure it fit they told me that it doesn’t fit, despite their advertised 57mm I/D the chap on the phone said it’s actually 60mm so way too loose.
The one I need is 55mm I/D, Porsche have them but a LOT more money than dansk ones.

May have one - I'll check the internal diameter.

I have one that needs some love. It has only one weld on it so will cut off fairly easily but needs rechroming, so may be too far gone for you but I guess that depends on the economics of the new ones

Thanks rhd racer,
That’s a slightly different one, looks shorter than mine, perhaps yours is off a 911?
I’ve done a bit of haggling with my local opc, just waiting for them to confirm inside diameter dimension but hopefully sorted

Yes it is, sorry, I presumed they would be the same. Never mind,
