You rarely see the boxes come up I'm afraid

No not a big job to change the date wheel at all

Not sure which version you have but it will either have a Lemania 5100 movements or a Valjoux 7750 - easy enough to get English Date wheels for both

I'm not into watches at all but did any of you see Antiques Roadshow on Sunday evening? A former diver had a pair of Rolex Submariners, one of which is with the box and all papers, which he bought new. It was a 'Comex' version, which they all creamed themselves over.

Yes, been on before. He's a well known character apparently and knew exactly what he had there - values were on the low side but it was a repeat from a year or so ago

He was given them by Comex while diving.

The non date watch was an early 1970's 5513 without the logo but with the helium escape valve.

The date version was a much later 80's 16800 that was given out as 'presentation watches' for 10 years service - this is the one that had the box and papers with it....although be interesting to see if it was the right ones as they cocked some of them up when giving them out!
