Ventilated discs on a 69T ??

My 69T came with no brake callipers so I have acquired a set of 4 ATE callipers ( 3" bolt spacing ) complete with excellent ventilated discs. The callipers have an extra section in the middle to space them approx. 15mm more apart than the factory . The fronts are 48mm piston and the rears are 38mm.

Can someone please tell me what Porsche had these as standard and should there be any reason not to use them ?

From your description they sound like the 'M' calipers & ventilated discs originally fitted to '70-'73 911T models ...

I can only vouch for the brakes on my 73T...
I have 3.5" A calipers on the front, original small M type on the back. The discs are vented.

The front calipers have no spacer, but fit the 73 design of disc correctly.

911 from 67 to 83 same disc width, 84 to 89 thicker.

The wider/spaced A calipers I thought were introduced for the 3.2, thicker discs and power assisted brakes.
