I've got the car back from Greatworth and it's handling very nicely. I've decided to try Mystery Oil in my petrol. I know that many will believe it's snake oil but Jack Staggs with over 47 years experience of these engines recommends it. No quantative information but we are also trying it in our Yaris. The engine light has now turn turned out and it's running better.

Thanks to BoJo and the relaxing of the lockdown, went for my first drive in 73T, since the lockdown began. Roads were quite quiet, but there was quite a number of police out. She went like a dream, looking forward to my next drive.
I used Marvel to lubricate the Judson in my '58 Beetle cabriolet. Can't vouch for it's tech credentials though, used it for no other reason than the tin was great, the glass oil reservoir was cool and the sticker looked good on the engine tin. Seemed to work though...
Had to meet 3 different clients today at Ferrybridge services. First time I’ve driven anywhere in over 2 months. You forget how light and nimble a 996 C2 is. So light in fact the winds nearly blew it off the A1...it’s mental out there today!!
Rear tyres are finally down to 2mm which means I can change the horrible PZeros to Michy Super Sports at last

I went out for an evening drive last night, about 8pm, and people liked the car so much they came out of their houses to cheer!

Went for a 2 hour drive in the 73. She went well except for some spitting back from the Weber carbs. This year I took the car for a tune up at a Porsche specialist, because of the carbs spitting, but still it continues. Any recommendations of a garage that can take a look? I'm based in NW London but happy to travel.
