The money/common sense/taste equation springs to mind
That, and the question 'why would you want to wear your luggage?'

I only know one Lambo driver.
He wears blue contact lenses and looks like a body builder and a £1,000,00 of tattoo work, actually a very pleasant bloke.
Comes with the territory?
Each to their own.
NSU looks great!

Yes, it is a Lola Mk6, the car offered to Ford as the 'GT40' competition car for Le Mans etc.

it was the immediate predecessor to the GT40 and contained much of the technical hardware and design elements that would be found in the GT40, ford v8, colotti gearbox, monocoque tub, guillotine doors etc.
Wasnt a great success due to lack of development but it clearly had potential. Ford bought one and the development program turned it into the GT40.
The Lola is a beautiful car and tiny (6 inches shorter than the GT40) when you see it in the flesh - it is a Goodwood regular....
Ironically, the Lola is 40 inches high and the GT40 isnt but i guess GT40.5 isnt as catchy.......

That's a great picture Berny - when was it taken ?
Sometime around 1966 ?
I guess you were racing against people like Clive Trickey ?
