I don’t think it’s an exaggeration to say it’s utterly ruined by the colourful anodising and off-red plug leads under the bonnet.
Secret £200k+ water cooled restomod project.

Re: Alfaholics...GTA
For me these cars are ruined by use of the modern Twin Spark engine, you can tune the original 2 litre Nord unit to 180+ HP and still have a very torquey motor, I had one in my 67 Sprint Veloce. I'd rather have a car I could use in Historic/Classic events. They are super cars and with the right LSD a real pleasure to drive or compete in.
Cheers

Like Sam, I hate seeing stainless steel overbraid/red or blue anodised fittings on oil &/or fuel lines.
If I was in the market for a 105 Series coupe it would have to be based on a 'stepnose' - I'd far rather have something like this for a fraction of the Alfaholics creations:

Don’t know much about Alfa’s, but did see one at a show once that looked like that but had rivets everywhere including along the rain gutter, looked like the roof was riveted on, what was that?
cheers, Mike.

Re: Alfaholics...GTA
I prefer the look of the Stepnose cars as well but the 1750 mk1 is a close second in my book. I tried a few modified single spark cars and I have to say, the later twin spark motor was a revelation. It just pulls much better everywhere and 180bhp from a single spark would mean a very high state of tune whereas it feels unburstable from a twin spark. Agreed not the thing if you want to go racing but I think the Alfaholics GTA-R builds are for road use. The full Alfaholics package is really good - engine, gearbox / LSD, brakes, suspension and steering all work very well together.
Not cheap though and lots of options at their prices. They are asking £170k for the car above!

Yoda, yes my 2litre Nord had a lot of work in it, cams, head ported, 45 DCOEs, rods and a decent exhaust, etc, but it was very drivable pulled from 1500 through to 7800, not a fussy engine at all. Had a close ratio box and some Alfaholics’s suspension stuff. Took weight out of it with polycarb windows and f/g boot and bonnet. But you could build it for about 30% of what they’ll be looking for that car.

Nice shot Mike, should have guessed you'd be into Alfas alongside Pork.
Hope you're keeping well. How's the RS running?

Re: Alfaholics...GTA
Al, the Rep is doing fine, unfortunately I only have room for one at a time, so the Alfa is long gone(have had a Fulvia, 2002tii and a 240z along with another 911 since), but last I heard it was with a hillclimb colleague and he'd done a few events in it, but that was a few years ago.
Cheers
