brake master cylinder condition

hi all

sorry yet another question, hopefully this might help someone else too in the long run

picture below is of my brake master cylinder, for a 1975 2.7 Carera (no servo)



question is whether it needs replacing as the 2 upper rubber conectors are somewhat perished, looking a little hardened and a few cracks in them both

New cylinder is only around £100, but can one buy service kits for these things ?

No, those will be fine IMHO.

They go persihed on the surface pretty quickly, but wrok fine.

At least, I've not seen them leak..remember they only need to hold about 15 inches head of fluid..

That said, I would strip the cyinder now it is out, and put new seals in as a matter of course.

And it is quite likely that you will decide the bore is abit rusty in patds, and change the whole thing..

Sorry to but in, can you replace this type of brake cylinder, with one with a servo.
