removing inner door panel etc...

Something's loose and rattling inside my driver's door.
Hayne's is rubbish with this kind of thing, so is there an existing thread (here or elsewhere)
with step by step instructions for removing and reinstalling all the bits?
I've got electric windows, so I'm a bit paranoid about bowling in there 'blind', all the bits falling
on the floor once I remove the panel, then not knowing what goes where!

these old cars are usually pretty obvoius to pull apart, most important thing is to GENTLY pry the inner panels off I would suggest as the plastic retaining clips will be brittle or if metal they may have started to rust (Forest Fine will probably sell new ones anyway and I'm sure Roger Bray would too) and both will snap easily, so will old vinyl so it may tear, so will the old hardbord if its gone a bit soggy over the years

all the dor bins will be held on with visible screws (with an asortment ofplastic cover bungs), just go slowly and don't pull if somethings stuck, its probably a screw fixing you havent located !

try using the thinnest widest tool you have and place the tool as close to the retaining clips so as not to stress the panels, if your close to painted metal put some masking tape on the bodywork, so as not to scratch the surface

All good advice, thanks Jonathan, but it's not getting things apart carefully that stresses me, it's more specifically if the electric window mechanism comes to pieces that worries me!
Could be I'm worrying over nowt and all be very simple but, not having looked yet behind the panels, I'll be working blind!

My car's later, so could be variations but on my door panels the gotchas were:-

1. There is a circular central locking knob - the centre part prizes out leaving a screw that can be undone
2. the door pull is connected to the opening metal mechanism by a metal rod with a hook at the end - this had to be lifted up to unhook it
3. I had 3 screws around the door handle itself and another onr revealed when I took the door capping off
4. Leccy windows weren't a problem - once I took the rest of the panel off carefully you can see the back of the switches - there is enough play in the cables. You can either leave them connected and an prop the door panel against the door while you do your stuff or label the connectors and disconnect them - the switches themselves are a push fit into the door panel.
