Then reflect on the fact that this is actually a scratchbuilt model!!!

It is 1/5 scale so it is big but the workmanship is amazing. It is on display at Hendon

If you havent visited before, have a look at the website and i can thoroughly recommend the book! David's workmanship and attention to detail is beyond belief.

Yes, it's just come back from the garagiste with a clean bill of health (new ball-joints, brake hoses, tyres, wheels blasted and painted...) and is ready for collection. However, I now can't get across there until second week of April at earliest due to work schedules. Can't wait!

In the meantime, I think I'll take up boating...

- the 'Special Saloons' & then the 'Super Saloons' of the early/mid '70's were the most entertaining racing series - & some of the best drivers - there's ever been in the UK ...

Utterly agree, fabulous cars, extrovert drivers, 10/10th racing.
Even on TV on a Saturday, Murray Walker commentating.

My Lola came through the 80's in silhouette racing with a pink Karmann Ghia body, Alan Humberstone driving.

Was offered the body mounds to borrow to remake the long lost Ghia Kevlar unit.
One piece, it would have been too long to fit my garage!
I have found and spoken all 13 owners of this car except 2 who are dead.

A special car and a special history. :)
