All batteries are different. An hour is usually enough but try measuring it in the morning after a night of no charge.hot66 wrote:Why was one of mine resting at 13.4v ?

Re: Slow cranking
Update ... so old batteries removed and their resting state was 11.2v for one of them and 13.2v for the other ??
Euro car parts originally sent me ‘lion’ branded !!! When I’d ordered and paid for Bosch
nice to discover this on New Year’s Day when your planning on working on the car and taking it for a run.
Finally today I drove to the nearest store and swapped over the batteries for the correct Bosch ones and fitted them up.
Result is the car is back to old ways
. Starts cold on the first turn of the key . Assume low voltage was messing with my crank fire coil pack ignition resulting in difficult start.
So as usual ... I dread the worst and it turns out to be the basics
Old Bosch silvers lasted approx 12 years so can complain

Re: Slow cranking
Good to read.
I have the same silver batteries from Halfords, same age too, but perfect so far.
