Lovely looking hot rod Boydy, needs a separate thread and some details please. I keep think of building one or buying a part finished project and so would be great to see what you have done.

So the car survived it's crossing but not without the sea air having an effect.

Fortunately it was limited to the outer surfaces and easy enough to sand off.

So we unpacked the car and put it on the lift for a closer inspection

The only rot on the car was one lower corner of the windscreen frame

So a new piece was made and welded in place.

Next we set about some additional modifications at the new owners request

New owner, new features, just as has happened to the car over its life time.

The car is being restored with an eye on it’s past but not to a point in the past.

This is a very good attitude to a restoration, we are all mere custodians of our cars yet we can leave an impression on them or take them on a drive of our choice. Who knows this car might be alive in twenty five years time being fitted with a hydrogen cell engine by a very old dusty man !
