Guess the colour...

Post by tomgoodwin3 »

I've been thinking about the colour I want my car to be painted (mainly to take my mind of all the work I still need to do!)...

Found this pic on the net, I really like to colour. The question is: is this a factory colour and if so what one??

Image

Thoughts please :-)

Cheers

like it, I had a Polo G40 very similar to that colour a few years ago, VW Royal Blue. Had a greenish tint in there that made look abit like petrol blue depending on the light, sometimes it would look almost black. Nice colour though, suits the polished rims

Looks a bit like Aga Blue - but that was a late 60's colour?

Certainly not an early (1971) standard colour from the colour chart I have here - looks good in that colour though

Orange is better tho
1966 912 Karmann Coupe - polo red.
1972 914/6 GT replica - 2.7 - signal orange.
1961 Standard 217 Tractor.
2003 Boxster S.
1967 Alfa Giulia Sprint GT Veloce.

quite difficult to say from one single pic, but I tend to say that it could be
metallic blue (L98P) - optional colour, only available in 1970
