I've been enjoying the engine build up videos Jeff. Very informative.

I know it is well overdue, but I am finally getting back onto the 911 and I am going to keep on with it until it is done!

Piston clips suck! I have finally gotten all of the pistons and cylinders installed on my Porsche 911 2.8 twin plug build, but it was not fun.

This is the easy way to measure valve clearance on an aircooled 911 engine.

That is a neat way to check a critical dimension, not sure you need to be SO accurate on TDC as the pulley wheel has a factory notch and the human eye is quite accurate to align the block grove and the notch?
Really good series of videos Jeff, never a dull moment!

The accuracy is definitely important particularly if the clearances are tight. In this case less so. It is much more important when it comes to the cam timing.

In this episode I tackle the chain alignment on my old 911 engine which is trickier than it looks. I also clearance and fit my new EFI harmonic balancer.

In this episode I tackle the dreaded cam timing. Spoiler alert, it is not as difficult as it seems.
