I'm officially out. Mrs Sam would, oddly, rather we go and visit her friend in Norway for a birthday treat than go to Spa. And after I put in all the graft sorting child and dog care. :(

I fear that to abandon her on her birthday would be even worse form than taking her to see some old racing cars.


But.


I can use this in the future as an example of my good behaviour when trying to negotiate other trips, so all is not lost.

We tend to also buy the 'lounge bar' ticket for Saturday as inevitably it seems to rain at some point and its not a bad place to rest and watch the track as it gets dark


Parking for cars over 25 years is free in the dedicated secure classic parking area .. this is a car show in itself
