Ha Ha. No problem Graham, it was tongue in cheek.
I'm not far off your age anyway!
See you Saturday.

Quite a day at Prescott in scorching sun with a slightly unpopular class win for me and the Lola, but nice saying hello to several DDK'rs who stopped by.
Huge array of Porsche cars everywhere with a very strong PCGB presence.

Nicely done Graham. Why unpopular? Everyone else just needs to drive faster

I can see the point Gary.
Here am I in a 247 bhp full race car weighing 540Kg.
Others in the class have similar/more bhp but about a tonne more weight!

I really should not have been allowed when I entered but I thought it was a class of random cars invited by the PCGB series such as me, TRV8 Ferrari etc.
It was in fact a class for those not in the Championships running today.

There was no PCGB class for the Lola, and I should have been moved to Class G where I normally run to join the lone runner there today.

I usually do not do this weekend as we normally take our main holiday to Europe now, so won't enter next year.

Back to normal tomorrow with just the 2 of us in the class, the other being a SAKER with Subaru turbo power.

Sourness aside, this was a wonderful meeting.

Had a few things explained to me today, so feel MUCH better.

1st in class prize was a pair of really well shaped red wine glasses, so they have been christened!

What an amazing weekend! Staggering numbers of people and Porsches, lots of old faces re-appearing.
Graham's Lola attracted a lot of attention from many who had never seen such a car, and he took not just one, but TWO Class wins over the weekend. His car was one of the reasons that the Invitation Class was formed, to attract cars that don't fit the restrictive rules of the PCGB Championships, and his win was by no means unpopular, by far the opposite!

Our great surprise at the prize giving on Sunday night was being presented with a pair of beautiful cakes by the Bugatti Owners' Club and commentator Eddie Walder to celebrate the 35th year that Laura and I have shared driving the 911.
I was totally struck dumb - for a change!

JW, sorry I didn't introduce myself. I was stood jawboning to Josh
and may have mildly upset Laura with my sarcasm regarding the
PCGB coffee! Sorry Laura, I didn't mean it.
Well done on the teamwork over the last 35 years.

Graham (911hillclimber) I came over to your Lola and lurked with intent
a number of times but such was the interest in your car, didn't manage
to have a chat with you. Well done on the class wins, I certainly only
heard positive comments about the car and it looked fabulous on the hill!

I had a great day on Saturday and it was like going back 30 odd years to
when I used to spanner on Josh Sadlers hillclimb 911s!

A very heart warming day and weekend.
It has been a very long time since I enjoyed a hill climb so much.
I had a silly problem with the battery/ alternator on Sunday so did a 110 mile round trip home for a fresh lipo.
This left the Lola all naked with all the body off and a lot of interest in the car!
Naked ladies always attract!

Congrats on 35 years to Team 911, what a great pressie too, be a shame to eat them?
Cannot imagine a speechless Jonathan!

Hill climbing at its very very best. :drunken:
