1989 3.2 cassette boxes or other options

HI All,

I have a 89 3.2, that I rebuilt and have just finished full engine rebuilt and very pleased with my handywork!!

One of the last issues I have is that I removed an aftermarket A/C and when this was fitted they have removed some of the cassette holders to put some buttons and temp controls for that. Having removed it I am short of 2 cassette holders which are NLA but they are around on a few breakers web sites.

BUT it got me thinking if anyone has done anything to put a more useful cubby hole in the place of the cassette holders that looks a bit better? I cant find anything out on the web but someone might have come across something

Just take out the other cassette holders ,leaves a nice big space for all your tat

Yes- that’s what I did on my (stolen) 2.7

Cassette holders are generic parts used by many manufacturers. I'm sure I bought mine when the vehicle was contemporary (30 years ago almost ) from a Vauxhall dealer.

Thanks all, for some reason I dont have the back to the cassette holder like you have so I just get a load of wires, which isnt so nice

Have just bought a set of cassette holders for €1 on German Bay so I have a plan!
