Great wheels Rich - although I have to admit that I'm not a fan of black wheels.

I like ‘em - lets see them on the car
The simple things you see are all complicated
I look pretty young but I'm just backdated yeah

Re: Next Project
Black rims can look awesome with the right colour combo. My view if they are good enough for Rod Emory, then;

Re: Next Project
Having problems again with the Ceramic coating, it keeps failing. So after talking to the Performance1 regarding this they agreed to take it back and have a look before stripping it back and re coating. This will be the third time it’s been coated now. Anyway it’s come back. Only problem is I’m missing a section of pipe.
After contacting Performance1 to let them know I’m missing a section l agreed to give them a week to try a locate the missing section. After this l would be looking for the costs to replace the header. So 2 weeks later searching still no pipe. Finally they’ve agreed to cover costs for the replacement header. With monies transferred l can now get it in order.
Whilst this is being sorted I’ve pulled the engine and box.
Box needs to have a look at as it’s making some noise when coming of the gas. Suspected main bearing. Dropped this of at John Walklett over in Stoke to let him strip and report back the problem.

Re: Next Project
New replacement header has arrived. Upgraded to the racing style. Only difference from the my old unit is it has removable stub pipes. This will make fitting and removing so much easier and also help getting a good seal.
Stub pipes trial fitted. Needed abit of clearancing on cylinders No 1 and 4 as one side of the stub pipes touched the pushrod tubes even though the new push rod tubes have a machined groove in them to help with clearancing.
Onto trial fitting the rest of the header. Pretty good fit really without having to do anything. All good. Next will be fitting the silencer and fabricating some brackets to the header to help support it. This will be the tricky bit as I’ve no gearbox to refit engine and align the silencer central to the car. I’ll think of something in the meantime before l get the welder out.

Re: Next Project
Gearbox is back from a rebuild. Took longer than expected but l think it was worth the wait.
Just need to find some time to get in back now.

Re: Next Project
Whilst the engine is out decided. Decided to replace the engine surround tins as they have been chopped about with the different set ups I’ve had in the past. I’ve added the changes and cut them out of some flat sheet Carbon. Next was to tidy up the Cooling shroud. Not being the best gel coat finish decided to have it Carbon dipped to match. Really happy with the finish. Here’s a few pics.
Not sure why the pics are coming through so big of late, any ideas then l can correct?
