Test fit before welding it into place (this is the view from underneath)
As there was quite a bit of play in this whole lower ledge I measured the gap all the way along and made sure it was consistent

And welded in place. Not a lot to see after all that work but I know it’s really solid
EDIT - it looks messy in that corner - I went back and tidied that up but forgot to take another picture

On to the corner itself - starting with a piece kindly donated by Gary - far from perfect but the actual corner piece itself was sound so I worked with that
