Great to join the forum and thanks for having me. In early 2018 I purchased a 1970 911E project car running a tired 911T engine on webbers. Once UK registered, the car was on the road for a couple of months last summer and now I'm beginning a long restoration process. BTW will be posting the 911T engine and 901 box for sale as I have another engine and box to fit. I'm sure I'll need some advice and will also have parts to buy and sell, so delighted a friend directed me at DDK. Have also owned a number of 993s (C2S for last 6 years) and love spirited 911 driving. Looking forward to getting my 911E out on the open road plus getting engaged with the forum. Thanks all.

Hi and welcome to the forum. Hope you’ll have a good time here. Nice looking project car too. And you’ve passed the first test with flying colours - posting photos first time!

Welcome
Car looks great but look forward to your resto thread. Are you rebuilding to stock or modified ?

Thanks James. It will be modified, but 'in period' to a semi competition type spec, but keeping compliance nice for fast road. Plan is to make sure all mods are as would have been available in the early / mid 70's. Like your quote... perfect.

Welcome Mr DMac911, if you are Oxfordshire based, feel free to pop in for a cuppa-tea and a natter on all things early 911 if ever you are passing Banbury way. Good luck with the project, sounds like a great approach.
Regards,
Mike.
