910 Replica

Post by JB-L »

A while back there were a few pictures from a friend of a DDK member of a 910 (I think, or was it a 908 or 907?) replica.
However I cannot find the thread (so what's new?!)
Is there any news on this? Any more pictures?
I love the smell of burnt rubber and hydrocarbons in the morning, it smells of......victory.

Sorry guys it was a 908K replica. Graham any chance of an update for us?

"I have a mate who is building an exact copy/replica of a 908K,the body plug is finished and moulds are being made, the chassis jig is made and the chassis is part finished, all built to original spec.(It helped finding a chassis buleprint on a stand at goodwood a few years ago!).
The rear suspension castings are finished,in fact its all pretty much worked out and being done, its gonna be an awsome almost indistinguishable from the original apart from the motor, flat 8's are not so common, but they did build a few with six pots in.
The guy doing it is a pattern maker and his work is stunning.
Were just waiting for the day when we drive it to a big Porsche do,park it up,and walk away and just watch peoples reactions!" Graham's original post.
