putting in the wiring for the interior lighting . I realise the main cabling drops down the A pillar although i have to admit, i am not having much joy poking it down!! But where does it exit at the bottom of the A pillar? Does it come out through the same hole that the door switch wire goes through or does it come out somewhere else?
Also, what is the trick for feeding the wire down the A pillar - i have tried a rigid slim metal rod from the top but it gets stuck 2/3 of the way down....

Re: interior lighting
It exits through the large roundish aperture to the rear of where the bonnet hinge fixes to the inner wing.
When I fitted mine I passed some gardening type metal wire from the top and fished it out of the aperture in the inner wing. I then attached the wiring to this and pulled it back through. It took a few attempts and I had to cut off the terminals from the wiring and refit later.

Re: interior lighting
Can't be much help but I ran some lovely pull wires through when removing this one and the main loom to make things easier getting them back in. The sand blasters thought they would be helpful by removing them for me though
. Can't wait for that job!

Re: interior lighting
I've found a sink unblocking "snake" pretty useful for this sort of thing.
If I remember correctly the method for the specific case you're asking about, Andrew, was:
1) Push snake up from bottom aperture until visible at screen corner (or possibly interior light aperture)
2) Attach loom to snake
3) Withdraw snake, pulling loom with it.
Ta-daaaa!
Have fun!
BTW I think I've spent more time persuading rubber grommets etc into apertures than Barry needed for all the welding. Any tips for the round multi-pin connectors?
