Drove to Goodwood on Friday with Mrs B. I can't believe we have never been before. Got interviewed in the Pre 66 parking about our 356, by a magazine, as a priceless early Bentley was parking. Which I thought was pretty ironic.

We were well looked after as guests of a sponsor. I decided to pretend to be part of somebody's pit crew and was on the pit wall for the start of the first race.

We will certainly go again next year but probably not quite the same without free drink/food and access to all areas :)

I think you'd enjoy it just as much without the hospitality package.
Theres so much to see. We've had a bit of access or met up with friends in previous years, but this year got in early and just walked round everything.
I definitely enjoyed it more being a 'free agent'.
I'm already looking forward to next year!!!

Thanks James, yeah I went with a Polka dot Graham Hill vibe :)

964 is great, took the kids to School and then spent a day throwing it around a track. Upgraded to drilled discs with new pads and Michelin Pilot sports. Strange familiarity compared to the old cars, but much more powerful and responsive (obviously). Instructor was amazing, though I did manage to spin it once, all good and all part of getting to know the limits...the first few sessions were in the rain !!.

Still buzzing about touching somewhere between 120-130mph on the straight and then heavy braking into 2nd gear hairpin :bounce:

Bleed the brakes on my356 as they were getting a bit soft. Tried for 90 mins without the pressure bleeder and I just made them worse. Finally read the instructions and used the pressure bleeder, hooked up to the spare wheel, and took 20 mins!ImageImage

Took the wife's truck in for a MOT to Cridfords. 30K miles on it and it needed new brake discs and pads and new a set of boots. I chose Pirellis over the Michelin attitudes or whatever they are called. That little lot came to 2400. Passed the MOT though.

Over the weekend I fitted new engine mounts, throttle lever bushes and fixed or at least improved a lumpy idle. And this morning me and the misses travelled to Largs for breakfast. Got to make the most of this lovely weather 8)
