356A tacho removal

Post by mycar »

After getting an oil leak on my shoes last weekend, today I'm fitting a new tacho seal to the oil pump and trying to remove the tachometer to see just how much it oil contains !

I've removed the tach cable and the clamp and the tacho is loose but held by electrical connections ?

Anybody have a photo of the rear of this gauge or can tell me how to disengage it without too much collateral damage ?

You should be able to 'prise' the 4 bulb holders out & remove the tacho ...

And back in again.

There's little joy to be found upside down, in amongst the viscera of a 365 dashboard. :laughing6:

I hate having to look at wiring issues behind the dash board. There is no where to rest your head. I really don't enjoy it
