Popped along to the pcgb Yorkshire festival at Lotherton today. Met up with some of the usual Ddk rabble .... but very nice surprise if unexpected was bumping into nick greenyRS .

A very lazy weekend for me. I can't believe I wrote the car last weekend in the horrid weather but didn't get it out this weekend.

However, I did manage an hour or so in the garage. I tried to take my tinware off to investigate a leak but failed as one bolt refused to turn! Then on Sunday I installed a new pressure switch and the rubber protectors for the contact points on the generator. I tried to reinstall the arm rest but don't seem to have retained the correct bolts. I will have to look at the PET but I think I need M7.

The 996 is a loverly modded car .. reminds me of our cars back when people were modding early cars .. pretty sure its local to me but not managed to have a word with the owner yet

Good price for what’s there for sure and will offer the buyer lots of fun to the pound.

That said, you’d easily spend the same all over again to convert it to 6 and making it ready to fly

After looking at a couple of threads lately concerning engine oil I've taken the plunge and did a oil change this evening and went for Mobil 1 full synthetic 10W60 oil.

I took mine apart a bit more, tidied the garage (and shed) and ‘hid’ the engine and gearbox under the bike rack (which fell off the wall when I added the forth bike!

Obviously I’m not going to bang my shin on that exhaust pipe each time I walk into the garage...

Tubeless? Did you do the machining to make the valve easier to seat, or have you found a source of suitable stubby valves?

An enjoyable couple of hours spent catching up with friends at the BS Motorsport Open Day and Autojumble followed by a fantastic cross country drive back on some of my favourite roads luckily managing to miss any serious weekend traffic

First time I got to lean on these bad boys and lean I most certainly did! .....didn't suddenly deflate or slip off their rims and I didn't crash and burn!

Seriously good rubber! ....
